Week 4: point perspective drawing

Week 4 of Art and Animation brought the challenge of perspective drawings. These drawings have specific points where the majority of the images lines go towards.

The base parts of the perspective drawing

In the image above you can see the main things I used as a basis for my drawing. There is a thirds grid, a horizon line and the perspective point that the lines all go towards. These are needed for any point perspective drawing whether it has one point, two points, or even three.

Black and white finish of the perspective drawing

The above image is the finish of the line drawing stage for my image. The product shows a railroad with a building leading to a horizon.

Final drawing of the perspective drawing with some colour

This final image is the line finish with some colour. In the future, I would definitely add more colour and texture to make it look more realistic or more natural. I would do this by adding certain textures to the ground, adding some light onto the scene, putting something in the sky, etc.

In conclusion, point perspective drawing is not necessarily difficult but just takes time and patience. I believe that the final product is completed fairly well but could use lots of work.
